Our mission is to bring healing and empowerment to children from hard places.

We are a non-profit organization on a mission to care for, heal and empower children from hard places especially child sex trafficking survivors in the Philippines.


The literal translation of Balik Kaanyag is restored beauty of life. Contextually, it may be translated as Blossom of Life. We seek to create a place of beauty, fun and creativity where survivors of abuse experience healing and empowerment in Jesus through nurturing, playful, trauma-informed programs and services.


The Problem

Traffickers and online predators prey on children from hard places in the Philippines to abuse them sexually in exchange for money or other consideration. As a result, these children suffer complex trauma.



He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted… to comfort all who mourn… to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
