Our VISION is that every child from a hard place sees and lives out their God-given beauty, dignity and purpose.

Our MISSION is to bring healing and to empower children survivors of abuse, and to help families and caregivers provide a safe and nurturing environment for children under their care.

We are motivated by COMPASSION: We help vulnerable children heal by offering holistic care regardless of race, status, sexual orientation or religion.

We COLLABORATE with multiple stakeholders to pursue our mission, including Government authorities (LGUs, Barangays), schools, churches, academia, other non-governmental organizations and individuals.

We are a CHRISTIAN organization, motivated by the love of Christ especially for the most vulnerable. We practice servant stewardship and creativity.

At Balik Kaanyag, in the lush green hills of Lukong, we offer a place of beauty, creativity, playful engagement and connectedness.


The literal translation of Balik Kaanyag is restored beauty of life. Contextually, it may be translated as Blossom of Life. We provide an environment where children experience healing and empowerment through our holistic, playful, trauma-informed programs and services.


The Problem

The Philippines is the global epicenter for online sexual abuse of children. Reports suggest that more than 1 in 10 children in the Philippines are affected by sexual abuse and violence. Many of these children suffer from severe trauma, leaving them unable to live fruitful and productive lives.



What inspires us

We are inspired by many people. But there is ONE whom we experience not only as an inspiration, but as healer, redeemer, and friend. 2700 years ago, Isaiah prophesied about Him: “He (God) has sent me (Jesus) to bind up the brokenhearted… to comfort all who mourn… to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
